Big Bro (AKA HR) is watching

During the Women MBA dinner meeting last week, I met some new people, including an HR person. Somehow, Googling came up. I had heard that HR does a background check on candidates, which includes a Google search. This lady confirmed it. Wow. She even checks My Space since "It tells me about their character". Double wow. I'm not a My Space freak, but I am a blogaholic. Hmm...

I may have to shut down this site. I don't bad mouth my company, but I also don't want a company to determine my character from this blog. Sure, every reader is judging when they peruse a blog, but normally who cares. Well, I care, especially when HR is involved. I do plan on quitting this blog someday. Perhaps I'll start another one where it's more anonymous. I don't want to lose my loyal readers. I have to think about how to transition smoothly by weeding out an unwanted few, such as flamers and trolls. I already have another blog (or two) set up for a more professional theme. Hmm...
