Beer keg = 105 Cups

I am proud to say that I ordered my first keg. It may seem to be a trivial accomplishment, but that's not so simple for girls. First lesson: When people say "keg", usually it's really a "half-keg". In case you don't know, there is 13.5 gallons in 1 keg. For 16 oz cups, this means 105 cups. For a party of 30 people, then the average serving will be 3.5 cups per person. I'm doing the math since I am hosting a poker party. Can't run out of beer, you know.

One dilemma I faced was picking which beer will make 30 people happy. I like Amstel Light and I'm the host, so I picked Amstel Light. There were some other good beers, but it cost more. I can't stand Bud Light or other domestic beers even though it's 50 bucks cheaper. I didn't do much shopping around, since the first place I called gave good customer service in explaining the above details PLUS free delivery is included. If you have bought a keg before, does $183 sound reasonable for non-domestic beer? That includes everything, tap, ice, bucket, etc. Oh well, King Keg makes it so easy.

TGIF.
