Another Revlon Run/Walk

This Saturday morning was the most pleasant day in the past 4-5 years when I've done this fundraiser, since it's usually hot and miserable this time of the year at the LA Coliseum. Even though I jogged it last year (my first time ever), I decided to walk the 5K (3.1 miles) this time. Most of my family joined it this year, minus my lil' bro since he's in school. I walked with friends and coworkers.

For some reason, I started doing this philanthropy event about 5 years ago. I didn't know anyone with breast cancer, until this Saturday. A friend of a friend and I started hanging out recently. She invited to me to go to a local bar on Friday, but I declined since the 5K started early. She just happen to be participating in the Revlon too- her first time. I learned that she had suffered breast cancer at my present age. She's not much older than me. Wow. Walking the 5K gave us an opportunity to get to know eachother. You never know who you will meet next. Now I have a good reason (and a friend) for doing the Revlon Run/Walk
