As I mentioned earlier, we had a fondue/pasta dinner on NYE with my new fondue set. Nice temperature controlled one by Cuisinart at a good deal from Costco, in case you need one or need a gift idea. At a previous party, my friend's candle-fondue burned our chocolate for the strawberries.
On that night's menu, we cut up pieces of chicken breast and italian sausage and mushroom, all of which were dipped into hot oil. I provided 2 noodle types (fettuccini and mini rigatoni) with 5 sauces: tomato/red, alfredo/white, pesto/green, basil cream (alfredo + pesto), and tomato cream/pink (alfredo + tomato). The two mixed sauces were the most popular. If you haven't done it before, be prepared for a long dinner since it's cook-and-eat-as-you-go. I want to have another fondue dinner, any ideas? Maybe I should look for a fondue recipe book...
