Random phone call or not?
"Hello, sMhyla*. Just calling to say hello. Umm... I know you don't want to talk to me, so I won't f!%$ around with it. I just wanted to call and say hello and uh... I hope you are doing well. Alright? Bye."
This is a random message on my work voicemail today. I played the message over and over until I recognized the voice. This is an ex-boyfriend who I dated off and on during my college years. However, I rarely talk about him, because the thought of him makes me an angry person. We have nothing in common, so we are not friends. To say the least, he didn't make me a better person and I didn't realize it until several years later. I'm reminded of him when I paid $1,000 or more to fix my car from being "lowered". Yes, he had different springs installed as a "gift" to me. It's my fault that I let him, but I didn't realize it would ruin my tires, alignment, axels and boots, much less cause a crack in my exhaust manifold.
Anyhow, I had stopped communicating with him in early 2001. I ran into him at a party on June 2003. I have nothing to say to him, so I haven't kept in touch. Today I get a voicemail from him out of the blue. He didn't give me his phone number to return his call. I don't have his phone numbers. I had changed my cell phone number, but he had my work phone number. Is this a random phone call or not?
