Dark or light hair???

It's that time again for a hair cut and highlights. I think I'm tired of my highlights (and the cost). How about going back to dark hair? My hair dresser says my natural hair color is not black. This picture was taken last year October. My hair dresser used semi-permanent color to darken my hair, but it eventually washed out. Let's take a vote, what shall I do?
