Blogging stats

My blogger bud, Acid Zebra, found some interesting statistics by Live Journal (another blogging community, a competitor to Blogger). Other stats claimed that the majority of bloggers were male, however these stats say that females account for 2/3 of the LJ community. Most bloggers come from English-speaking countries, which matches my personal stats from Neocounter (see the bottom of the right panel). What I find intriguing is the fact that most bloggers in the US are located in California. LJ posted absolute numbers without percentages and only one bar chart. The bar chart of blogger age is most interesting- normal distribution with a right-tail. The median age looks like 18 years old in the LJ community, while I'd be part of the right-tail (not telling you my age!). I wonder what the numbers are for the Blogger community.
