Brazilian underwear for NYE

Yes, I said underwear. Two nights ago, I was having drinks with TK and his Brazilian friends at a local bar when we started talking about New Year's. I learned that Brazilians are quite superstitious folk about many things, including undies for end of the year holiday. It's almost like the belief about wearing green for good luck on St. Patrick's Day or you'll get pinched. The color of your underwear will give you some fortune in the new year.

• Red = Passion
• Pink = Love
• Yellow = Money/Friendship
• Green = Hope
• Blue + White = Peace

I don't see how the color yellow can bring both money and friendship, or maybe it means being rich with friends. I asked the Brazilians, "What if I wear a rainbow colored underwear? Can I have all good fortune?" They laughed. I was serious, or at least half-serious. I turned to TK and said, "We have to go shopping." TK responded, "We?" My response was, "I mean you." Hee hee.
